I'm torn between painting my '88 Jet Black or Edelbrock Red. I am planning on ordering a black STC top soon and think it would look cool either way. I would also have the top painted black if I end up painting the truck red. If anybody has pics of their 2nd gen painted black or red it would help me visualize the end result. Thanks!

Is this truck gonna be wheeled? Mine was a fresh repaint when I bought it. And now I need to buff it with restore stuff once in awhile. And the deep tree and brush scratches are gonna be there forever. Which I don't mind /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

Black shows all the imperfections (unless you use flat black) and red is a PITA to take care of... go Grey!

I was in the same position that you are in once...couldn't decide. Metallic black or metallic red? /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif So then one day I saw PPG black cherry, It is met. black on a cloudy day or at night but in the sun or under a street light it turns burgundy red. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif Mine should be painted late this spring hopefully. The downside though is that black cherry is VERY expensive. /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif
