Im getting ready to get my wheel wells and cowl support sandblasted and painted black along with my seat frames and other misc. stuff for my blazer. What primer/paint (brand and about how much)should I use that will be durable, look nice, and shiny when you open the hood? Should I use some type of bedliner on the wheel wells where the tires can fling rocks or is paint good?

For the core support and seat brackets I would use rustoleum semi gloss black, thinned about 15% with acetone. I did my seat brackets with dupont 2-stage and used a flatening agent in the clear, and used the rustoleum SG black on my core support - I have to say that the rustoleum looks a tad bit better and seems every bit as durable. I also used Upol raptor on my wheel wells/fibgerglass fenders and probably wouldn't do it again - it looks good, but is not as durable as it should be for the amount it costs.

Im pretty sold on POR-15 after using it on my floor and bedrails. Stuff dries damm hard and feels like glass. Id put some self etching primer down first and brush it on in thin coats.
