i have some old chrome 15x10 wagon wheels i want to paint black or gray to match the urban cammo paint pattern i'll be putting on my k5. my question is, can you paint over the chrome if you give it a good sanding to rough it up and clean off any rust/ pitting? do i have to remove the chrome? what type of paint would be good to use for the wheels that will stand up to brake dust & road salt, etc? i was thinking i might blast them then painting w/ duracoat?
