paint to use on hard top?

What paint do I use on the hard top? How do they get the course surface?

You want it course?? I wanted mine smooth, so I hand sanded mine flat and used John Deere Blitz Black after shooting it with there Buff Primer. As for it being course I really can't offer you any advice, sorry !!! I can dig out pictures of my top if you would like..

i jus spray painted mine black....no prep no nothing. it came out really good, and its still coarse. took bout 3 cans

I redid my 1st gen top a while back.Fixed all the cracks sanded it smooth then retextured it with a product called "Gator Gaurd".It's a bed liner but it's white.
The texture came out REAL close to the orig. factory finish.
