i'll be sanding the frame soon, or sandblasting, haven't decided. but need some suggestions on some black paint that'll stick to the frame & springs. thanks. maybe even some H1s

I have not used it but I heard POR15 works really well and I think Can Can used Rust Bullet on his there is a tech write up about it.

I did the frame on my 1998 Z-71 with POR15. Worked awsome.
I still have 2 Qts left too.

POR 15 is nice for rusty stuff.

But if your gonna blast it or make it pretty clean metal, your better off with some zinc, epoxy prime and a quality single stage urethane...

I have used the POR 15 also, with great results, but for clean metal they require a prep solution to be used, (etching wash))

if you have a PPG paint shop near you, go in and ask for north star paint. its an industrial paint, strong as nails when you get it on, forgiving, and on a body you can get a nice shine from it. best part is its not all that expensive.

thanks guys for the tips. we're sandblasting the frame this weekend. throwing some ospho on it, then painting it, then boxing the frame & finally putting on the suspension.
