painted and windshield in

Thanks TJ, the reason mine was such a pain was trying to get the seal around the windshield frame. I did it once 2 weeks ago ab out 95% of the way finished(which took a little over an hour) then I removed it so I could put some clear silicone behind it. The next time I did it, my dad wanted to help. He didnt think it would hold it to the windshield frame by it self, so we took it over to the grass and tried to get the stripping attached to the windshield before installation. MISTAKE, lol that wasn't happening. Then we went over, put on the clear silicone, and installed the stripping, which took about 40 minutes this time, then we brought over the windshield, and attempted installing it with 2 small screw drivers, I poked through the back of the stripping once. This took us about 30 minutes, we soaped up the window edges before installing. I bought the 1 piece window seal with locking strip built in, becuase it was all black and i didnt want the chrome locking strip on mine.

Hmmm, I guess I should call one of the install places and see what they charge.

Thanks dude. :)

nice scoot Brandon, that your parts getter?:D

Joe
install should cost no more than 50 bucks, maybe a little more for the mobile ones that will come to wherever you are and do it there
one little wrong push is all it takes to crack a window
i would recommend a new weather strip as yours is pretty old, and it probably got messed up when you kicked the window out:D

The weatherstrip is gone. lol, I think it's wrapped around a tree somewhere at Hollister Hills...or I might have actually hauled it back to camp and tossed in a trash can. Nothin in there at all now. Just the steel frame.:D

glass

I would think the windshield is easy, there's a thread somewhere in here, on installing the Burb 4' window. The Burb window is almost flat, windshield being curved convex, outta be easy. Us Burb guys put in the Burb window single handed. Just be sure to use blunt plastic to flip the lips. Temperature makes a big dif. also.:D
