Painting ideas?

While my hood is off, I'm thinking about painting it primer black, with a big-ass Punisher skull on it. Any ideers on how to do the skull? Keep in mind that I am sorely inadequate as an artist.

Do you have access to a projector? Project the image onto the hood, to whatever size you want and trace it out. Good choice by the way!

Hum. I think I know a guy that does vinyl graphics for a living. IIRC his name is Scott, and I think his screen name here is MrK5.

I could be wrong, maybe someone else knows him.

The projector is the easiest way. Unless you have a friend who's a good artist. I'm having a friend draw out tribal flames on mine, it's too hard to use a projector for that junk.

the projector idea is the best and is easy to do. i did a huge banner for a buds band of a tiger that looked like it was ripping out of a king size black sheet, i outlined the tiger with a white grease pensil, then i air brushed it and the bands name on the sheet, worked great.

One of the guys @ work used the projector to paint the station mascott on the wall and he was by far not an artist and it came out awesome. Whats to say he can't take his hood off the ride and lean it up against a wall and pencil it out that way? Worst case scenario mrk5 could do it for him!!!

Wow, now that I remember what it looks like that'd look tough. If I hadn't painted my truck yesterday I probably would think about doing something similar.

No problem. It won't cost you much, and if we meet up for a trail run when the weather is nice we can stick it on in about 15 minutes. I could do it a lot bigger than 3ft if you want.

Looks like the biggest I could do it in one piece is 3'-6" wide by 5' tall. That's probably too big to fit the hood. I'll get a measurement on my hood and PM you the size and price.
