Hey fellas.
Was contemplating painting my cap all week. Part of my problem was deciding whether to roll on some paint or rattle can it.
Being hasty, I attempted to quickly hit the whole cap with a scotch-bright pad. Washed it, dried it and started to hit it with the ol' rattle cans. (color to match my truck).
Came out like crap. My caps got a few nicks in it, and that weird rough texture that makes it looks 'speckled' or something.
Today I'll undo what I did by sanding it down and try some roll on paint I think, as it will cover the nicks and "speckles" better? And I was going to end up using like 10 spray paint cans. I'm hoping just one can of roll on paint will do the trick.
Any tips or suggestions? Should I not use roll on paint?
I'm using Rustoleum semi gloss black rattle cans. Will I be able to find a comparable roll on?
Hopefully sanding it will make a big difference.
Thanks!
