I want to paint my stock wheels black and leave the chrome outter lip on it. Think it will look pretty bad ass with the dark blue paint. Anyways I was wondering what the process for this would be. And what type of paint to use. Do I scuff them? primer then paint? thanks in advance.

i like the color match look myself plus the chrome ring would break it up...that's just my opinion anyway...its not like you've got 22" rims u wanna color match to the truck...i think it'd look BAD ASS...it would b a subtle mod...c if there is a local(or close to you) powder coater and have them powder coated...should cost around $300 tho...

ya I dont have that kinda dough, rattle can it will be! Ill try the blue though. And will post pics.

rattle can is good too...and if you don't like it, just prime it and paint it again...id try the color blue n the middle(lighter)...do 1 wheel and c how u like it...i think either will look good just think maybe the lighter will b a little better...it'll keep the 2 tone going more...

if ya haven't i say go with Satin Black. I did my Blazer and it made a HUGE difference in looks. Just scuff them up and paint them. Primer helps but mine are still holding up just fine ;)
