Painting the axles?!

I have an '89 Blazer that is rust-free and has been repainted solid black. I have updated the dual exhaust, carpet, dash, wheels, and other additions have been made since I bought it in 96. I am now wanting to re-do some work under the truck. I am considering painting my axles as well as adding chrome differential covers. Is there any special kind of paint especially for the axles or should I just clean them and apply some Rust-Oleum or something?

clean completely and use an epoxy paint. if you can't find it at a hardware store, try a autobody supply store.

I use rustoleum "hardhat"its an epoxy paint looks great.
