I have found LMC, USA1, GMCPauls, and Tabco. Am I missing anybody else? I have read mixed reviews about LMC but have talked with their customer service folks and they seem to be pretty helpful. Heard pretty good stuff about all the others besides Tabco's customer service.

I am not looking for the cheapest, rather the closest to OEM spec. It seems LMC has different two different levels of quality of panels.

I would like to try and get panels that are primered and sealed since i live in the Gulf Coast Rainforest area...

Maybe this could turn into a sticky that we continually update for others with the same questions.

One place that sells at swap meets in CT I've attended had a good selection of rust repair panels ,hoods, fenders, etc, that looked to me to be thicker metal than most of the others from overseas..
I have not seen any brand of panels that have sealer on them--most come in satin black "primer",but need to be sanded and reprimed and painted if you want them to last..

"Autobody Specialties" in Middletown CT...you can look them up on google..

Other good brands I knew of in the past may not be in business now--"Schott Panels" and "Ohio Mill Supply","Sherman"--when Tiwan and China started stamping out panels, many of the companies in the USA went out,and most all the other sources like parts stores all sell the same panels under various brand names like "Keystone",but probably came from the same press somewhere in Asia..

AMD has as good of after market parts as anyone, but their Xparts line is about the same china stuff as everyone else has.

Well, got all my parts in from GMCPauls. All made in Taiwan, but from what I can tell good parts nonetheless. Packaging was top notch, looks like they took care in wrapping it all up. Part brands are Keyparts and TriPlus. Thick sturdy metal, great edp coating. I bought the complete doors from them, they are a gm certified restoration part. I’ll give my 2 cents later after I start installing and welding these up. Overall, very happy with the parts.

I also wanted to add to my above post to help guide those who are about to make a purchase like mine... GMCPauls has some nice folks working for him, but I would say that because they do not use phones it is hard to communicate sometimes. I thought my $2000+ purchase had everything I needed in it so as to avoid another freight shipping charge, but I lack several key parts.

I have found very helpful folks at USA1, and Autobody Specialties. Together we were able to walk through my massive restoration process and pinpoint the exact parts needed to finish out my purchase for the body. They both said they use KeyParts and TriPlus, with AutoBody saying they also use AMX for some parts.

With that said, I recommend GMCPauls, USA1, and Autobody Specialties for your parts needs. But if you need more in depth tech help, USA1 and Autobody is the way to go from my experience.

You probably associate Taiwan with China.
I have been buying tools made in Taiwan for 30 years and back then they rivaled the quality of American made while China was good enough for the garbage.
Bicycle frames are primarily made in Taiwan for every major manufacturer.
China will need 100 years to come close to Taiwanese quality, and Mexico isn't better either

I ordered a new hood from Jegs. Its an AMD product. Dropped it off at my paint guys shop yesterday. We opened the box and after looking it over, he told me that it was the best aftermarket panel he'd ever seen. I wont know how it fits for a while though.
