I'm sure there are plenty of opinions about this so here goes: Why are all Panhard / Track-bar Frame mounts on the left or drivers side and the axle tube mounts on the right or passenger side?

That's to get the mounting points as closely as possible to the ends of the drag-link (for crossover steering), you'll get pretty bad bump-steer otherwise.

I was discussing this with my best friend as he has full hydro on his CJ8 and still has a standard 3 link w/trac bar. In his situation, it really would not have made any difference which side was mounted where, but the trac bar is still mounted on the frame @ driver's side and axle @ passenger side. It really just came down to the prefabricated axle bracket fitting better on the front side of the axle tube as opposed to it being on the driver's side and having to be mounted to the rear of the axle tube.

Yep, you want the length and angle of the panhard to match the draglink.

So why don't I see anything from ORD regarding brackets etc? Hint Hint.

The reason I'm looking into this is to solve a D44 death wobble. I've even used your companies shackle kits and replaced all the bushings etc. That solved it for about 100 miles, and now I'm back at this problem again and think either a Panhard / Track bar will help or someone told me to go hydro, which I dont really get. This problem started when I removed the double shock "feature" and went crossover.

Look at our coilover setup :pimp:

We will have a panhard bar setup soon, it would be like the one in the coilover page.

I cured death wobble from a worn tre with steering stabilizer. Also a little more toe in maybe 3/16. Are all your tie rods new? How long are shackles? Any shims?

There are shims and the TRE's are about 200 miles old. I keep crushing steering stabilizers so I'm hoping to not need another. I think the toe in is maybe to far but I haven't checked it really recently. My belief is the removal of the second shock's allows the axle to move more than it did before. I'm certain a trackbar would solve it but may effect my articulation as well.

we;; if you have shims then your caster may be a little off. That mixed with some other things may be the issue.
