Pany hose snorkel??

I think somebody on here suggested using pany hose over the inlet of the stock air cleaner to soak up water that is splased up from mud.. how many of you have tired this trick? Any other tips on water resistance... as I think the burb will be alive and well tomrrow... and its supposed to be raining

Yea,That was my post. I dont know how much it would help with just water, but it is very effective for catching flying mud. I have gotten mine so full of mud that the truck would hardly run, pull it off, clean it and its good to go. They come in pairs so I put one on, run it, plug it, swap on the other one, clean the first one and set it on the defroster vent to dry while I'm busy trying to plug up the other one.
I got this idea from peterson or some other mag awhile back. Not as good as snorkel but it will greatly extend the life of your air filter.
