Here is the online petition to try and keep Paragon open. I have signed it (#7192). I normally would not do something like this assuming it would be a hoax, but I was watching PowerBlock TV today and they mentioned so I feel it is legitimate. Legal trails are being lost everyday so this is a great way to show our support for the folks at Paragon. Even if you have never been there it is a great offroad park that our sport cannot afford to lose. Think of it like shutting down Moab! Just my two cents. Hopefully there will be many many people that agree.

Hate to say it, but I think you were watching a PowerBlock re-run......

Paragon was shut down already and the land owners are selling the property to build an airport. It's a done deal.

I wish it weren't true since I never got to wheel there.....but at least we still have Raush Creek.

STILL IT IS A LITTLE LATE, THAT PETITION WAS STARTED A LONG TIME AGO

oops caps lock!

we had a thread going i signed at #600 or so.

Sorry for the lateness but for those who misssed it like myself it is still in the courts before it is final. Paragon is by far not completely out to dry. They still have several court hearings to go through before it is final.

This was pulled from the pragon forum site ( http://paragonap.com/forum/showthrea...&page=46&pp=20) posted as of Fri. Mar. 30 2007 around 11 a.m. The Powerblock show announced it today around 1 p.m. This is not over by any means they are still open and actually are planning on extending their hours. I understand that some of this may have been posted prior to this but I had not seen a link to the petition like I have posted. Thanks for looking.

There are no new updates. Just that we expect to be here for a little while as things at this level take a bit longer. We want to see you all at the park. We will be extending our hours soon. Stay tuned to the website. We will be open Friday April 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., but closed for Easter Sunday April 8. Thanks!

Why is paragon even being targeted to be closed down??

These parks are just as important as natural wildlife parks in my eyes. I mean people get to enjoy them, and the land is staying as natural as possible.

Putting up an airport, or a mall or whatever is not going to help out the environment any.

I think we need as many of these kind of parks as possible.

People get a place to play with their trucks, and animals get a place to live. Win-win in my eyes.

I hate hearing about this s**t. It really pisses me off!!

they lease the land, the owner are trying to cancel there lease early to sell the land.

that is what they are fighting it is not some anti- off roading thing.

the problem i see is in a few year whenthe lease is up there done for legaly anyways

Is there a way to buy the land?? Or is that not even in the cards??

the owners of the park were offered to buy the land. $33,000,000.00

the whole deal is shady. the land owner is selling the land to a corporation that he is part of. it's a big circle jerk. if you ever went there you would laugh at the airport idea. we stopped at one point and all looked down into the main hole were they stripped the coal from years ago. filling it to make a landing strip is going to take a long time, alot of dynamite, and ruin some beautiful back country.

see I have never been there before, and I don't really know the background of the lawsuit.

But that really does sound fishy....

And I really, REALLY want to go try out some of the trails. Paragon was on the top of my list of places to go. Paragon, and Moab. And now both of those places are threatened.

I signed it a while back. Never been there but I would like to go. I hope it doesnt close.
