All, I have a 78 K5 that I have been working on for the past few years. Well I am finally getting around to working on the break systems. I drives fine, but over the past 6 months breaks have gotten very squishy. Replaced the fronts with no problem. Working not the back drums and found that the Spring that goes on the Parking Brake Lever is broken. I have been to all 3 of the part stores around the area an nobody has one or even shows one in there system. Looked on LMC and it shows the BAR, but the spring is greyed out.

Has anyone else run into this and what was the resolution.

I checked there, but they didn't show any springs in the system. I looked at the pro rebuild kit, but same there no spring for the brake bar. Do you remember if it was specific to the vehicle or just a generic spring?

I think I told them it was for my truck a 86 k10. They had to order it. That was the only place I could find it back then.
Found it on their site, part # H1338-2

Thanks man, went by there this morning and they had the spring. Went ahead and got new wheel cylinders, new hardware kits. Finally got to work on it after spending the afternoon with the wife and got one side rebuild Spring worked great.

Thanks again.
