I am swapping axles on the Blazer and currently have the older style parking brake cable arrangement (1980). The axle (14B SF from an 84') that I have has the parking brake cables already attached and in good shape. They also have the brackets and adjusters. I cannot seem to find pics of where they attach to the frame and general routing of the cables. Any pics of this setup would be appreciated.

All I have is this from a "service manual"--of course they do not show how they hook up to the backing plates or brakes ,which is what 99% of us would need a picture of...:surepal:..(use the "K models" illustration for a 4X4 )..

Thanks for the reply but that is the one I have now. The one I am looking for is the one that has both cables going to the driver side of the vehicle and going forward. I would like a pic of where the bracket is attached to the frame.

That was the only book I have with any e-brake pictures--not sure what years it covers, the cover was torn off when I got it ,I'm guessing 1973 to 80 maybe..

On my 88 suburban, the bracket was the lower part of the drivers side rear spring hanger. Then just a couple regular single hole supports going forward.

You can't run them properly without modifying the frame as I recall. Or maybe it's adding a bracket to the frame? I want to think the "front" cable as it's often called, goes through the frame on the later trucks.

Swap the e-brake cables from the original axles. The 14SF will take them.

Here is the LMC page for the '84+ setup: http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/csb/full.aspx?Page=145
