I know this was used but it's been so long I can't remember for what and more important where and there are 2 of them. Looked for holes in the frame but nothing looks like it lines up

Chris,

I think those might have been to hold the sleeved part of the parking brake as it ran down the drivers side rail. Maybe they bolted to a crossmember instead of the frame itself? :dunno:

I remember that the factory ebrake setup was a pretty cludgey-looking setup with the two wheel cables consolidating in a kind of turnbuckle/splitter thingy so that the cable from the front can pull on both sides.

As far as I know my parking brake is stock and it doesn't look like any of the brackets on mine. I looked around under the truck and I didn't see anything that looked like that. Of course mine is a '72 so maybe some things changed.

This thread cracks me up, seriously SBD you should pat yourself on the back! A picture of the parking brake layout and where the Parking brake thingys go!

Good job SBD. :waytogo:

If it wasn't for guys like you, guys like me and SBD would never get these rigs back together. :woot: :pimp:
