I am looking for a later model rear seat for a blazer. Specifically I am looking for the folding type up to the 90 (I think). I would like to retrofit one in my 73. I am not too concerned with the upholstery condition as long as the seat foam is is in decent condition as I plan on upholstering it.

Willing to pay a reasonable price based on condition but would rather find one in the SF Bay Area or Sacramento area. I can drive to pick up and would rather not ship if possible.

Cheers,

Rufus

I am in Stockton CA. I commute from Stockton to redwood City so I generally go east west each day. Fresno is a bit far south but what do you have available?

Cheers,

Rufus

I got a nice blue one. I have a buddy that is driving from denver to fresno maybe late this month. Throw him a few bones for fuel and I am sure he would meet up with ya. The seat is free!

The Pick N Pull in Newark had several blazers with rear folding seats when i was there last a couple weeks ago. They usually have 6 or 7 blazers in there at any given time. Depending on what time you have to be at work or get off they are not far out of your way.

4x4high, thanks for the tip! I had been frequenting the Stockton and Modesto yards and had been coming up empty. I went to the Newark yard yesterday and found truck parts nirvana! Seat acquired for $25.

Thanks to everyone who replied!

Cheers,

Rufus

Damn, make it to the local yard here and didn't even get a chance to meet you. My shop is literally 4-5 miles from PNP. Even on the same street.

Trust me, given the number of trucks out there compared to modesto and stockton I am sure I will be out there again. Besides, It is literately 2 miles off the path of my normal commute.
As you can see I am a bit of a n00b to this forum so I am not totally familiar with your shop. I see you are a machinist, what is the name of your shop and what services do you offer?

I am trying to self teach myself some machining skills but I still have a need for larger jobs that are beyond the capabilities of my current tools. I might just send some work your way given your proximity to my route.

Cheers,

Rufus

Well, i'm an automotive machinist so i rebuild engines and do all kinds of other auto related machine work. The name of my shop isn't even on the building anymore, but the name of the parts store that i'm behind is Total Auto Supply. My shop has been in business since 1959 and i've worked there for 21 years now and bought into the shop 5 or 6 years ago.

Damn! I have met you! I started looking at the machine shops in Fremont and figured the shop I went to was you!

You surfaced a Nissan Pathfinder flywheel and pressed off a pinion bearing for my friend (I kept breaking bearing splitters). You also surfaced an exhaust manifold for my Honda.

We chatted about you blazer that was parked in back of the shop. Sweet rig!. I was totally pleased with your work man. You will definitely see more work from me.
