Soft top was way better option for me. The hardtop doesn't seal sh*t (in my rig) would always have water droplets hanging from the inside, condensation of some kind. Plus a topless rig is one of the main reasons I bought it back in '93.
Ask Greg72 what happens to a HardTop when Flexing yer rig out on the twisty = No beauno
I have had 2 soft tops sense then = Kayline and Specialty Top STC that I have now. They have kept the seats dry over the years but I'm sure the carpet got wet here and there as I never installed the silly front door glass framing that "seals" the window doors... Top down 95% anyway so I figured F the window frame crap. So yes, they keep the rain from getting your interior wet but it's still a rag top so ... If I had a street only K5 then maybe I would care about stuff getting wet inside
