on the manifold of a sbc, there is a sort of nipple thingy that has 2 vacuum ports one ont he top and one on the side...its behind hte carb on #6 cylinders intake runner. in that area...

WTF would you call that? the nipple on the side of mine broke today wheni was swappin intkaes .

dont know the exact name for it, but they sell them in the "HELP" or in the PCV/manifold breather areas of most of the autoparts stores I go to, should be easy to take it in and match what you need

If you lived close to me i would give you one i got a few spare ones kicking around. Just got to a you pull it yard and look around for anything with a carbed v8 and put it your pocket

its called a thermal ported vacuum switch

no it's not, it's just a vacuum port, the one one the back of the intake, main vacuum, primarly used for the vacuum modulator on a transmission that uses vacuum.

JB Weld the hole closed and put a reducing tee into the larger line.
