Anyone know the part number for the coolant temperature switch on the thermostat housing that plugs into the carburetor mixture solenoid on an 85 blazer? My 28 year old switch finally decided that it was time for the metal connector to fatigue and break off.

I haven't had any luck finding it at the auto parts stores or the online GM catalogs, just the coolant sensor that goes into the block. While I'm not wild about this electronic carb, it works very well and see no need to replace it at this time, and without that switch it will run rich when warm. Thanks for the help!

If that isn't it, let me know. Need to know engine VIN, I might be able to find it in the parts catalog. I expect it will be a royal pain though. :)

I always run Delco part numbers through this, http://parts-catalog.acdelco.com/catalog/stock_check.php then check the "vehicle list" on the results page, to make sure it's spec'd for my application. Not 100% accurate I'm sure, but seems to be pretty good. I don't see the K5 listed for that part FWIW.

Thanks for the help, everyone. I eventually found one, and yes, it can be used to activate a fan as it merely grounds when 170 degrees is reached. None of the parts store people had any clue, I had to walk in there with a part number in hand.
