Parting 8 Lug 10 Bolt Front Axle

Any idea how much it would cost to ship the 8 lug conversion to 77429. I imagine it is pretty heavy.

Yes it is going to be heavy, about 54# for each side. Fedex Ground gives me $125 for shipping :doah:

Now, I can do things to save weight. Remove rotors, spindles, wheel bearings, etc. It will just depend on what you have now and what you need.

Would you separate the backing plates from everything? If so, how much? And which ones are they, full round or the '81 and newer type like a "V"?

I would need to get $50 for the backing plates by themselves to split up the set. They have the tin dust shields since they came off of an '86.

What shape are they in? Rusty or pitted?

Kenny, those plates haven't been ground down to fit 15" wheels, have they? If not, let me know your PP addy and a shipping quote to 67439 business.

Now I'm interested in the bearing hubs to go along with the plates. How much total shipped for these 4 items? Don't want the bearings, rotors, spindles, etc. Just the bare bearing hubs and the plates. I can do brand new rotors for them here.

I am getting $50 for fedex ground on the backing plates and bearing hubs. How about $115 shipped?

They will fit in a small flat rate box, so $30 shipped.

that's a good deal for manual lockouts, I asked my buddy if he still needed them but he already bought some, and I already have spares.....so free bump

No problem, if anyone else is interested here is a pic. The outside was a little dirty, but the internals are like new. I think they were installed on the truck shortly before I bought it for parts (then the axle has sat in eastern Washington for 6 years since then).
