Parting out 1973 K5

hope you don't mind me asking, but how's it fit on that UHaul trailer?:haha: I've been wanting to rent one of those for the blazer, but not sure how well it handles the truck.

The trailer has a lip around the outside, this k5 has 35x12.50's, and barely fit between the lips. If you have wider tires or less backspacing, it won't fit width wise. But the trailer towed quite well at 70.

Willing to cut out the metal dash? Since you are cutting out winshield frame its easy to do. Just a thought. Has dash been cut up at all? Like the radio area.

Ill check it out when i get there. Havent had the time to touch it yet.

I'm having to store it 2 hours away. I'm hoping to get up there in a couple weeks and start tearing it apart. If you post with what your interested in, I will set it aside and let you know when I have it available.

Here's a picture of the door panel.

Ok. Its a pretty easy job. Two bolts and each side and a couple of support rods to the firewall. Remove windshield, cut the windshield frame out, and take a saws-all to the firewall. Easy Peasy:thumb:

It's even easier than that. No need to cut the firewall just five spot welds on the windshield lip.

I could use the driverside door panel.

Martin

I will pull it off next time i'm there.

The gauge panel the woodgrain thingy ?

I will pull it off next time i'm there.

How are the door hinges? How much shipped to Katy tx 77493

I'm going to hang on to these for now. Not sure if I'll need them or not.

Do you have the GM topper bolts?

Martin

Going to hang on to these with the top.

Do you have the trim piece that goes in front of the back seat and holds the carpet down

I'm not sure if it has that, but I'll check next time I'm there.

O and the seat hing covers
