Hi guys,

I listed this in the Engine section as well. I'm selling lots of other parts as well that don't fit a category so I'm listing it here also. Hope that's okay.

I'm over on the western slope (Basalt) and I'm parting out an '87 Suburban. I may be coming over to the Denver area in the next couple of weeks and could bring parts to your door for a small fee.

1987 3/4-ton Chevrolet Suburban 454 FI 2wd. 53k on the odometer, most likely 153k.

Drivetrain: TBI 454, Turbo-Hydramatic 400, 14-bolt full floater rear axle, 3.73 gears.

Exterior: Little to no rust, clear coat peeling on horizontal surfaces, minor dent on driver's side rear quarter.

Interior: Blue cloth. Front seats torn, 2nd and 3rd row seating like new. Has the rear a/c unit.

SOLD-454/7.4l Big Block - $450 Runs strong, 35psi of oil pressure at idle, but has piston slap on one piston under load. Has not gotten worse. I was going to install one new piston and rings but just don't have the time. Come drive it. $450 buys the long block.

SOLD-TBI Fuel Injection System - $250 Includes throttle body and injectors, intake manifold, computer, wiring harness with all sensors, fuel pump relay, computer controlled distributor. Starts immediately, runs strong and smooth as silk. Gets good mileage for a big block with clean emissions.

SOLD-TH-400 Transmission - $150 Transmission works fine in every gear. No problem I am aware of. Since this is from a 2wd Suburban, this transmission will work fine in a car as well.

14-Bolt, 10.5 inch ring gear, full-floating rear axle - $250 Very little rust. RPO code is GT4/3.73 gears. I have not pulled the inspection cover to verify the ratio.

42 Gallon Fuel Tank - $95 Includes mounting straps, filler neck, sending unit and new TBI in-tank fuel pump. No leaks, little to no rust. Great extended range tank.

Class III/IV Receiver Hitch - $65 With weight distributing hitch, rated for 9500 lb trailer, 1000 lbs on the tongue.

Front Clip $400 Includes right and left fenders, fender liners, grill, headlights, radiator support, hood. Chevy hood ornament intact. I can't find a dent, very little rust if any. Quality factory parts. Great front clip for a very long production run of Chevy/GMC trucks, Blazers, and Suburbans. Will work on many different year vehicles, not just 1987.

SOLD-Rear Utility Doors - $160 for the pair. No dents, no rust, hinges are tight, factory tinted windows. Handle missing but mechanisms inside work properly. Other doors are spoken for.

SOLD-Aluminum Wheels and Tires - $75 8 lug, 6.5 inch bolt pattern. Lots of tread left, no dry rot, no leaks, balanced. Includes factory spare with steel wheel and center caps (not pictured). Fronts are 235/85/R16 Load Range E, rears are 215/85/R16 Load Range D. These tires and wheels would also work great on a trailer.

Instrument Cluster, Gauges, and Bezel - $60 Lenses are good, bezel is good, no cracks, I believe every gauge and speedo works properly.

Lots of other parts available, this is a complete running Suburban. Let me know what you need. Get your parts quick, once I pull the motor, I'm going to pick at it for about a week, then it's off to the salvage yard.

I'll answer questions in this thread and you can call me at 970-379-0511 or email at [email protected] to talk about parts and prices.

Fuel lines: $45

Shipping: Not sure until I have the dimensions of the box and get them weighed. Some of the hard lines are fairly long. I'll check the cheapest USPS, UPS and FedEx rates. You pay actual cost only, lowest of the three to Las Cruces.

If you want 'em PM or email your address to me at [email protected]. Once I get them pulled, I'll let you know the shipping charge.

If you don't take them, I'll keep them myself. They're great lines and they are easy to adapt to AN fittings with a tubing cutter and a 37 degree flare tool. The flex lines are sheathed in braided stainless, they don't leak or stink like a lot of the aftermarket stuff.

first thing i saw was the hood ornament! if he dont want it for some reason, its probably junk, but next in line i guess.

also does it have a blue front bench in good shape?

It has bucket seats with fold down armrests on both sides of the seat and a console in the middle. Both front seats are torn.

You should also list your general location in your profile. It will help people interested in the larger items. That is the first place I look before I will read such a long ad to see if it is worth looking through.

I am interested in the wheels... but I need to check with a guy I know coming up this way from MO to see if he can pick them up for me.

It does have a nice blue bench seat that locks into the floor, is removable, and fits between the wheel wells. The arm rests do remind me of the back seat of a K5 but its been a long time. Not sure if these are the same as the ones in the K5s or not.

Anyone know the answer to this one?

This one is in pretty good condition. If there were no takers, I was thinking about adding a 4th row to my other suburban with it for the rare occasion I need to carry more than 7 passengers plus me.

Any chance I you would sell the fuel pump/sending unit, minus the tank? Or if not, any cheap way to get the tank/pump over to the front range?

I already have a 42 gal tank, minus the pump. I havent had any luck finding one over here that isnt brand new.

I would like to keep the sending unit and pump with the tank, but I do have another TBI fuel pump from my other '87 Suburban. It worked fine when I removed it. I swapped in a Walbro GSS340 to produce the higher pressure needed when I converted that truck to port fuel injection. I could ship you the TBI pump for $25 in a flat rate box if you would like. Or I could bring the whole tank to you next time I come to Denver in the not too distant future.

Will this other pump work with a 40 gal tank? Is it just the pump or pump/sender? I can go that route if it will work. If not, I can wait for a bit until you get a chance to come over the Mtns.

It's just the pump. Is your 40 gallon tank set up for fuel injection but just missing the pump? Does it have supply and a return?

If not, you could add a return port, wiring, and a way to mount the pump on your existing sender. Walbro makes some pickups that aren't too expensive that rest on the bottom of your tank. The rock crawler guys usually set up their tanks with 4 pickups, one in each corner so you always get fuel no matter what position your vehicle is in. The pickups have a valve that closes when the pickup is not submerged so the pump only sucks from the pickups that are submerged.

If you don't want to mess with all that, I could bring the complete tank next time I come over the hump to the Front Range. I've got to come over in July, just haven't set a date.
