Does anyone have experience with the parts guide that rockauto.com sells? It sells for about $200.00 and according to the website it has highly detailed exploded views of all the assorted systems on the vehicle with part numbers and details regarding assembly as well. Sounds great for someone like me with an 86 K5 that has electrical/vacuum lines that go nowhere. Anyone aware of an alternative less expensive source offering the same information? Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Someone might be able to answer the vacuum line question, I'm not sure that is actually covered in the service manuals, but the service/electrical manual for your year truck is the pinnacle of resources for your vehicle.

AFAIK most of the aftermarket stuff is simply re-done from the factory manuals, but often you will see your year manuals for sale on ebay. I would prefer to get them as a set, normally cheaper that way. You will need both. Sometimes there are three (service, electrical, and emissions) but I don't know if any of the truck years got an emissions specific one.

Core support sticker is the only true source of vacuum diagrams I am aware of, post your year, engine, (maybe trans?) and whether CA or federal emissions, and someone might be able to take a picture of their sticker for you.
