I have a 2004 chevy malibu and I want to replace the rear bumper cover. I'm trying to find out which years have the same interchangeable cover.

Any help is appreciated.

why change it ?

if going used the only one i would get is the same exact color take off .

if you need to paint for any reason its less prep time and b/s to just use a new cover .

thats how they did it in the shop i use to hang out at .

rockauto shows 2004-2008 sedan and 2004-2007 hatchback . both NOT ss cars .

and sedan unit is 73.00 before ship .

The one I have has a hole in it. The plan is to replace it with the same color from a junk yard, but I need to know what years will fit. I actually found one that is the right color and in good shape, but it's a 2007. It looks the same, but I can't be sure, and I don't want to buy it and be wrong.

can you post the link? when I try it on rockauto, it shows different part numbers, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are physically different.

Every junkyard around here has Hollander Interchange manuals or their online software that tells them exactly what parts will fit other years & models..most wouldn't be in business without that ,otherwise many parts wouldn't get sold...:dunno:

It depends if yours is the New or Old body style. 4th digit of the VIN tells you.
