Hello. I am a new member, Buddy K5. I have a 1979 Blazer K5 4x4 with a 5.7L engine and a TH350 automatic transmission (27 spline). My original transfer case is already beyond repair. I plan to install a rebuilt NP208C (27 spline) transfer case.
What is the correct GM Part Number Transmission to Transfer case adapter should I use for this installation? There are several different kinds of adapters in the market.
Will I need any other part or modification that I have to use/do to complete my installation?
Thank you for your assistance and advice.

Thank you for the link but I already have the NP208C and don't plan to get another NP transfer case. It also does not answer my question as to the correct GM Part Number for the adapter I will use for a TH350 and NP208C and the modifications/ alterations I need to do to install the NP208C.
Thanks again.

GM part number probably won't help too much at this stage of the game, but I assume a ~1981 1/2 ton of some variant would have been available with a 350/208, since people are saying they exist.

So I'd download the GM parts and illustration catalog for that vintage truck here: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showpost.php?p=5621043&postcount=1 and go from there. Will probably need to start with the illustration catalog, then go to the parts catalog with the group number. The part number may help with things like eBay searches

Your th350 needs to be pulled apart and the output shaft needs to be swapped with the longer 27 spline output (th350 to np203 is short output shaft). At that point I'd rebuild the transmission completely. The (th350/208) adapter your looking for is a 1 year only tall adapter from 1981 (uses a flat crossmember which you should have). Advance Adapters I believe makes one or you buy a 1981 th350/208 combo complete. You will need your driveshafts redone, especially the rear shaft as it will need a slipyoke and the np 203 uses bolt on yoke

Thank you for your inputs Wes, dyeager535, onetonbb74. Following your inputs, I decided to just go with the Advance Adapters and GM 140200853 transmission transfer case adapter. I will update you once I have installed the NP208C. Thanks again.
