Parts planning for 52" swap

In my quest to start planning for parts to accquire for my 52" swap I am pretty sure I have everything figured out except, shackle length. What length shackle should I run? What is the down fall to having one to long or to short?

Long = goofy pinion angle, need shims.
Short = Frame hitting.

There is a calc you can use on this site I think, but I believe eye to eye should be like 7"

ETA: depends on how you do it too. Read the swap on this site, I basically followed those directions.
