Iirc those go between the crossmembers and little skid on the 203. Least I think so. Maybe

Thats what im thinkin ! There arent any of these between the crossmembers and the frame are there? If there isnt, it would just leave the skid.

There's nothing between the frame and crossmember. There are spacers that go on the top side of the frame rail for the crossmember hardware but they are bigger (about 1" long).

Thanks.Oh, dont ever remember any spacers being up there,it just had regular bolts thru the bottom of the frame rail, connecting the crossmember :doah:,,,,do you have a pic of said >hardware<? Should it b ok just to bolt those crosmembers up to the frame with the same regular old bolts I took off?

My K5 is an 88 with a 700r4 and 208. The 1" spacers were on the bottom of the cross member. Cross member was touching the bottom of the truck frame. I don't know why they didn't just use shorter bolts. My uncle (trans shop owner/mechanic) and I moved the cross member down and put the spacers in between the frame and cross member to drop the back of the transfer case, to help drive shaft angle. I don't see why you couldn't use standard bolts in your situation. My uncle also didn't know why the 1" spacers were used in place of a washer on the longer bolt.

The reason they use these spacers is to get a longer bolt which gives you more clamping power, a short bolt would loosen up fast, ask me how I know.
