Is there a parts source for these trucks that carries a large selection of parts. I'm finding that most of the sources I'm using only seem to carry a couple of the parts I need for a particular job and then I have to order the rest of the parts from one or more additional sources. By the time I get all the parts needed I've spent almost as much on shipping as the parts cost.

It depends on what project you are doing. Then I can suggest companies.
I think at this point I have tried quite a few!!

Summit, Speedway, ORD, Rockauto, some like jegs, not I nor 4wp. Napa stores are more apt to have stock replacement parts on the shelf. As these get older the box stores don't keep parts on the self.

Right now I'm looking for factory ac/heater underdash parts. Restoration type parts.

LMC has quite a few of those parts but of course not all of them. I've also found they are expensive on some of their stuff

I haven't bought anything from any of these vendors, just seen a lot of parts on their sites and it seems many members on here have opinions about them from personal experience.

@SPLATT , I am working on the same. I am replacing my heater box, due to some damage being on my deer lease for the past 15 years. It is in horrible shape due to dirt dobbers and mice. The Parts Guy / https://thepartguy.com/ has restoration parts.
I am going to call tomorrow to see about sending mine to them for a total rebuild. The also have evaporator core boxes and some other things

For A/C parts / https://www.buyautoparts.com/?cq_sr...xQSneLwyqiPuUawXQlr9bYwcHxSMoCRBoCTawQAvD_BwE

For trim and most other things I am going to LMC Truck.

Send me PM if you have some specifics, as I have been researching for months working on my restoration.

Thanks,
Rob

LMC is the source for that. I bought all the vent regulators and they are nice virtually identical to the factory units. The blower fan switch I bought not so much, was missing a spade connection. he missing spade went to the same pin as another spade, you just have to put 2 wires on same spade. Means making a y connector or cutting your wires and spicing. together

the tube for the far right vent 31/8" diameter is hard to find, and expensive. I sourced a brass heater core at Summit most everone else is aluminum. I would match your radiator material.

A lot of the stuff these sellers have are OER branded parts. Might be able to use their site for part numbers and choose the distributor of your choice.

LMC is usually my go-to but I’ve had good luck on car-part.com for those hard to find old stock parts they don’t make repops of. It was a godsend trying to piece together factory diesel and A/C bits and pieces. It does a nationwide search of junkyards (US and Can). If you’re looking for something oddball or really specific, it may not come up in the database. I’ll usually select a more common adjacent part (eg. if you’re looking for an AC compressor bracket, select AC compressor). You can usually get an idea if they have what you need or not, some of them even post decent pictures. I was able to find some real gems at a fraction of eBay cost with a little digging and calling around. Most of the boneyards I’ve dealt with have been great, but your mileage may vary. The good ones will send you multiple pictures of the part after they pull it and can ship it out to you for a fair price, depending on the size obviously.

Hope this helps!

And...for most mechanical/electrical "stuff" I first check RockAuto. I've been finding that RA is about 1/3 of local parts store (NAPA, Advance Auto, O'Reilly, etc), provided that you have the time to wait a couple days for parts to ship.

Be sure to inspect your Rock Auto purchase as soon as you get it.
I have received a reboxed part or 2, and the part has been wrong the box correct.
