1/2 ton status
good news dudes! i passed smog with "flying" colors. the mechanic was great. ive taken it to him for the last 3 days and he hasn't charged me for the pretest once. i even failed the actual smog test twice today and he didnt charge me either. he even let me borrow his tools to work on my truck.
anyways this is what i did. you guys probably dont care but im stoked because its been hell to get this thing to pass ive been trying for the last month...
took it to smog place this morning
failed
posted up to ck5 while i was at school
changed the o2 sensor
took it back to smog place
passed pretest
failed smog test
passed pretest again
failed smog test again because of high HC's
took it for a spin down to the beach and back with my girlfriend flooring it all the way. came back and it passed smog!
weird but whatever now it works and its a load off of my mind.
