do you have power on the passenger side switch
when operated by the driver's switch, the power to the motor comes from the drivers side. when operated by the passenger switch, the power comes from the pink wire(power +12 volts) at that switch. i would check the wires from the switch to the motor for continuity. went back and reread the trouble shooting section and it states if you have power to the switch on the passenger side and it works from the drivers side it is the switch on the passenger side that is defective.so just replaced the switch on the passenger door. that switch (and the original) will not operate the window. however the drivers side switch will work the window.

i have 12v on the pink wire, and i have continuity on the 2 wires that go from the motor. the switch is functional.
GM manual says if you have power to passenger side switch and it works both up and down from the drivers side, it is the passenger side switch. The drivers side connect to the passenger side motor via the switch. It does not use the passenger side switch. the fact that is works from the drivers side proves all wiring to the motor is good. where in Norcal
Petaluma.
This thing is gonna drive me crazy. I'm sick of driving arould with no door panel.
Could it be that the passenger switch is not grounded ?
