Passing Gear/Kickdown for a 700r4

I read the th350 thread, I have vaccum controled passing gear apparently

Mine isnt dropping like it should,
How would I begin to fix it?

not on a 700r4, it's all controlled through line pressure which is determined by where the cable is with the throttle positioning.

only one cable from the throttle going to the trans, and it must be adjusted properly, or you'll keep burning up transmissions.
 
A 700R4 doesn't have a "passing gear/kickdown" like a TH350 does. A 700R4 uses what's called a TV (Throttle Valve) cable that controls line pressure in the trans. If this is not "set" correctly you will burn up a 700R4 in very short order.

You need to make sure your TV cable is SET correctly.
