Not sure if premium membership overrides post counts but forums often have areas that are locked until you have a few posts. This prevents spammers in places like classified sections.
Otherwise, if there's a specific section you are trying to get access to, check for stickies in those areas. There are typically instructions on who to contact to gain access.

It’s handed down from member to member. This is the only place you need a special password for.
