PC based OBD scanning?

Looking into buying a scanner for my shop, but I would like to use one of my laptops as the computer instead of a dedicated unit. What are the best pc based systems out there?

I don't know if their stuff is any good, but there is Auto Tap.

Autoenginuity is a good pc based system. It is obd 2 only if you are looking for post 1996.
