After becoming a paid member I stopped reading my subscription and the last 6 months of 4Wheeler and 4 Wheel Off Road are still unread. The magazines are biased toward whoever has the most $$$, not the parts that actually work well and are cheap. All I have to say is, $25 isn't that much. I'm enlisted in the military, and really don't get paid that much (E-3 paygrade). Trying to build a decent truck on that budget does suck, and I did wait a while before paying my $25. I haven't even been a "member" for a month and already got my money's worth. My 700R4 is getting ready to bite the dust, and I've got a TH400 ::with:: an NP205 coming from a fellow CK5'er rolling through my town in a couple weeks, got a fair price too. A whole lot better than what the shops around town charge for a 'built' th400. $25 is just not eating fast food a few times, one less carton of cigarettes, one less case of beer, or however you want to look at it.

I only have a few words on this .
CK5 is not just a site you pay for privledges . To me its my home . Its where I found friends to wheel with , to wrench with . . There are arguments sometimes too , and we all have different opinions , just like a real family . There is no way I could lurk here and not help keep the site going forward . If I have ever needed something , there is someone there to help me . These people helped lift my truck , supplied spare sparts and needed parts , come over to my home and help lift a body onto a frame , rebuilt my transfercase with me , welded my frame and installed a sterring box for me , put my first locker in ...... I could go on .
I actually preferred when it was monthly , so CK5 would get more of my money than 25 a year

I'm a paying member and think it well worth the cost, but I do see some merit in your request. If I am selling something, I would want the non-paying registered users like you to be able to contact me for a purchase without difficulty. I always put a phone number in my ads and sold both the '73 Blazer and '75 Jimmy to non-members who called me.blazin_blazer said:

just a reply been away for a week or so
i can't post to the classifieds and yes i can go to a members profile click on send so and so email and it lets me , i've talked to several members on here thru direct email those who don't have there email shut down...i'm going to pay dues because i've read everything i can access several times over and can tell there is alot of good info here and good comraderie...sure it would be worth it in the long run as my 69 k-5 makes the long run but i can't do anything for a while , i'm broken to pieces feel worse than my 80 model blazer looks

its sad but i know exactly what you mean
its a huge! epidemic here, but those people aren't concerned about wheelin...they aint got the money or sense, they pawn everthing they have just to stay up another week, if its good, what am i saying none of it is "good" but the people that go thru what your talking about they probally can afford to build an a1 top dollar rig but their brain is so fried they aint got the sense...the 1's that do and can, i can't wait to get their rig real cheap at an impound auction...and by the way its better if it not pseudo just ephedrine ..oh did i say that out loud
....i've been clean for 6 1/2 yrs wasn't on it but about 3 months best thing i ever did was wake up and smell the coffee i don't miss it at all ..i sure miss that easy money tho when you had a case of liquid fire look theres 1 now

I used to have a membership, but I never renewed it because I could not host any pictures on this site. Every time I tried to host a picture all I got was a "This format not supported" error, or It would host the name of the file, but not the image itself. I tried to PM a moderator about it, but no reply, so I figured if I could not use all the features of the site why pay? I still like the site though. It is the only good one dedicated to what I have been interested in for the last 20 + years of my life...generation 1 and 2 Chevy full-size trucks. Flame suite on...
