perch drop 4" lift?

Fabrication and welding time plus you're stuck with a stock front spring (which will be less flexy than a good 4" lift spring).

For basically the same cost as a good front lift spring, why?

I believe the intention is to give more lift to guys that are already maxing out off-the-shelf lift springs i.e. so that you can get 16" of lift out of a set of 12" front springs.

I hadn't come across it while reading in here.

Just wondered if it was a good option or not.

I want 6" lift and am looking at options. I would like longer springs up front and back but want the lift and lenth as least expensive as possible.

I thought that might be an option but it doesn't look like it.

Wow I have never seen that before.

Not the best option for sure, lift springs are far better option. for a couple reasons.

Stock springs are negative arch so you can't really gain much travel with a stock spring. So this is purely for lift no other advantages and the cost is really close to a good lift spring as Chris said.

If you cant weld you are probably looking at at least a couple hundred for installation of it too.

And if you can weld you can build said drop hanger for maybe 75 bucks, a hundred if you don't have any steel laying around, might not look that nice but its not a hard piece to build.

Another possible problem I see is how the rear mounts. That one plate might be enough added strength but I have put the shackle hanger under the frame and the frame did not like it at all
But hey now we have a link to point to all the guys (rare) that come here saying I need to fit 44s but don't want to cut anything

this is how i've seen this set up used. Years back there where a few guys in Bend who had big a$$ rigs on 44s had made this type of set up custom along with longer shackles.

It's really common with toyota guys still... My 4runner was set up like that... Worked pretty good...
