Perelli Scorpion ATR- need some feedback

I got a great deal on them but a friend tells me that because they are high performance tires they won't last long because of the softer rubber compound.
Anybody ever had a set of these?

Well they have a 50k tread wear warranty from pirelli and clicking on tirerack's reviews real quick gives a....well...mixed bag of results. Seems they have problems with balancing, but most are getting 40k plus.

That explains the two pounds of weights on my rims.

All that I see wear out fast. On a jeep they may last 50k, but not on a full size rig

I second that. Depends on how you drive as well.
