The bone stock 206K mile TBI 350 in my '91 Burb is hoppin on its last legs and I've waited as long as I can. I'm building this truck on a "budget" (yea, right
) and if I put another 350 in , I want one that is reliable enough to use daily if I want, but upgraded for more low-end grunt and all around performance within the limits of modified TBI injection, or possibly Edelbrocks' MPFI conversion.
Anyone have the line on performance replacement longblocks for the '87-95 GM TBI 350 engines and the necessary computer mods to accomodate?
The 210hp/300ft-lb GMPerformance Parts factory stock replacement longblock is not going to cut it.
This is a Suburban that will keep the 700R4 tranny(Bowie Overdrives) and see 35-38" tires initially with 4.88-5.13 geared 1-tons and I want it to move with no fuss.
Of course there is option B: TBI454 swap but I don't think I have the time to to fund all the odds and ends for that swap yet.
