Perhaps a silly lift question

I bought an 84 with a 6" lift, blocks in the back. I recently had the tranny rebuilt and rebuilt a 350 with a buddy and put them in. In the process I purchased a 78 parts truck that also has a 6” lift, blocks in the back. With what I have read, I believe that the general coconscious is that springs are better than blocks for safety (maybe something about stress under torque, I’m not really sure). Here is the question: can I use the springs from the front of the parts truck on the rear of the driver to achieve a safer 6” lift? I have never installed a lift, so I know next to nothing about it. Thanks in advance for any input.

Front and rear springs are different lengths. The fronts are shorter than the rears so it will not work.

6 inch block is no good, you could do a shackle flip and a small block, like 2 inch or less, maybe a flip and a add a leaf. But not a 6 inch block.

The Block isn't Ideal because it exagerates spring wrap .

you couuld do a shackle flip and shorter block, or new rear springs, Or a quality traction bar setup. or a combination of all 3

Really the best setup is a shackle flip with a 2" lift spring. It's the best riding and flexiest setup.

A 4" flip with a 2" block is ok too.

6" lift springs would be better than the block but rear springs that tall tend to get pretty stiff.
