It the article, DIFFERENTIAL DIFFERENCES, they talk about Detroit Lockers. It says "Some applicatins, such as the 14-bolt, even reuse the original differential carrier." Thats not true if it has a Gov-Loc! Oh well everyone maks mistakes!

At least they did say some and not all... /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

you do reuse the open carriers for use with detroits, at least thats what ive been told around here in the past.

but they should have said stock open style carrier instead of just saying original one, an original one could be G80 locking diff one, and in the 14SF would be the grenade lock junk one and theres no way youre using one of those original carriers for any detroit lol

I believe Lockrite or someone like them now offers a lunch box locker to fit a Gov Lock case.

Ya powertrax (lockrite) offers the no-slip (lockrite with extra parts) for a gov-loc case on 14FF (for sure) and afaik the 14SF 10B and 12B also.

At least over a year. I have also heard they have them for the trac-loc (D60 limitless slip). The whole no-spin locker thing started out with the intent of fitting a posi type case. They behave a little better on the street and are twice as quiet from what I have heard. They are still a drop in locker however so you don't have to re-gear and all. It is a pretty neat alternative (sp?) in my book.
