That is part of a swing out tire carrier/bumper that Steve Kibbe got for me. One of his friends made them. Got the bumper and matching rock sliders. Cant get their website to come up though...

Nice, the memory of a phase 1 build similar to that is still fresh in my head. Get ready, the phase 2 bug comes quickly :doah:

What is this console? Is it one of the Tuffy products? Link?

No, its just a shelf that takes place of your sun visors

Its actually kinda cheap construction. If I was to actually see it before I bought it, I probably wouldnt have wasted my money. In all the pictures, it looks pretty nice, but it is just a piece of aluminum with a fuzzy feel sprayed on to it.

I used that as a base, and I made a face out of sheetmetal, and cut holes for gauges, cb, compass, switches, etc.. Its half way done, Im gonna pull fabric over it after all the welds are finished. Might turn out pretty decent.

I have the same shelf. Might you post some pics of it and how you ran all that wire??? :wink1: My fussy stuff is falling off

I decided not to use the "Shelf-It" as a base. When it is installed in place, the roof hoop of the cage blocks the gauges. Ran into the same problem that cegusman had with the S&W cage, as the roof hoop hangs a bit too low. I guess thats what I get for planning without accurate measurements.

Right now, im using the brackets that came with the kit, and fabricating something of that using 22ga sheet metal and 1/4" round stock. Just started it today. Ill post pics when its done, as im not sure how this will come out yet.
