Ok, so I started running my lines today. Got the brake lines and the fuel feed and return lines plumbed all the way to about the middle of the frame. The rest is throwing me for a loop, big time! Theres the front section of line for the brakes, as well as the feed and return lines.

I`m looking for some pictures of how the fuel lines, as well as brake lines are routed, including a pic of where the porportioning valve is mounted as well, if possible.

Thanks in advance!

Here`s what I got so far (lines are not securely clipped to frame yet)

ttt!

Man, I`m an impatient fock :doah::crazy: :o

Am I right so far? For some reason, neither set of lines came with diagrams, so I have no idea how the front halves of the lines go in.

I can get the brake line, and the return fuel line most of the way in (through the engine xmember, and the other support on the frame), but they don`t go down the frame rail all the way...

6k posts and asking where to run fuel lines?

anyway. all the lines run up the passenger side frame rail. since the fuel pump is on that side also. the brake lines run the same way and the prop. valve is mounted on the backside of the x-member that is in front of the engine. there should be holes for it to bolt down. then the front individual lines run from the prop valve to above the axle on the frame, going thru the frame at that point to the wheels. just run the lines from the master cylinder down to the valve.

ok, I appreciate the help, but thanks for making me sound like a complete dumb ass. I know how to run the fuel/brake lines, and as I said, I have half of them in, but because they`re pre bent, I`m not where exactly the front lines have to wrap around. I know where the prop valve mounts, I was just hoping for a pic of it, that would show the surrounding lines. I`m not 100% sure which end is which for the fuel lines, it doesn`t seem its where it needs to be when I got it in the way I routed it, for example, when I routed the front section of the return line, it was right onto of the fitting thats on the fuel pump.

My main problem, is that I`m not sure if the lines are routed through the xmember, or around it, etc...thats whats throwing me for a loop, it looks like they should be routed through the xmember, under the motor mounts, but I just can`t seem to get it to maneuver all the way through....

pretty sure they go behind the motor mount, staying in the frame.
That`s what I figured. But the way the lines are bent, I just can`t seem to get them to manuever all the way into the frame, where they should go....

This is on a 91 suburban.

And the brakes stop this.

are the fuel lines on your rig stock?

Looks like I got mine on wrong...:doah:

Everything on it is factory except where I had to add the fitting to the end of the rear brake tubing.

Actually, I`m not sure if they are or not. I think its the same up until the filter, but after that, its different because of the TBI.

You could always just get rubber fuel hose. They make it rated for TBI setups.
Doesn`t need to be, as I`m running carb :wink1:

If need be, I may end up running the rubber line for the rest of the way for the feed and return.

The brake line, on the other hand. I`m having trouble with that one. I`m gonna go out now and see what I can figure out.

the fuel line I`m no longer worried about, but this brake line is killing me. When I try and run it through the hole under the motor mount, as well as the little brace in the frame, it just wont go all the way in, no matter how I turn it...

when i removed mine i wanted to keep them intact but i got frustrated and ended up just cutting and ripping them out. i dont think new ones would ever go in the same (plus i would never trust lmc to make those right.... if that is where you got them from... i thought i saw another thread you posted) i think they(chevy) must have routed them early on in the assembly line.

good luck
