Pic request: Driver's side shock tower with A/C (A6 compressor)

Hey guys, I am trying to install 14 inch travel shocks and I'm having a hard time figuring out the driver side shock tower and getting it around the A/C compressor and the steering shaft. If anyone has encountered that and solved it a picture would be incredibly helpful. Most of the pictures I have seen don't have an A/C compressor.

So in thinking about this, I think I am going to use this kit:

and make it similar to the attached picture from ORD (no coilovers though). In that picture, they bring the shock hoop on the ouside of the steering shaft instead of inside. If I do that, it make the little "numbs" that weld to the frame about 6 inches long. That seems a bit too long on its own so I will probably brace the back of the hoop to the top of the frame and I will definitely be using and engine bay bar to connect the two shock hoops.

Anyone see any flaws in that plan?
