Pick-n-pull pics!

I always find it sad to think that, at one time, these things were sitting at a dealership years ago all shined up and gleaming like a diamond and someone drove and loved it, only to have it sitting in a yard years later waiting to be scrapped or parted out.

Same here, I get so attached to vehicles, junkyards depress me.

Here in northern ill. Those are worth big coin. I hate that im so jealous we dont even see any on the road except junk nice ones are a rarity around here.

fun thread!

Ditto! :sign17: Thanks for posting this stuff Avery. My stomach churns when I think about these "pristine" trucks headed to the crusher. Like the rest of the guys that have expressed their disgust, I live in the rust belt too and I know that these trucks are practically NON EXISTENT in our crappy junkyards. I don't think I've ever seen a K truck at my local yard worth a damn.

Too bad fuel prices are so high and it makes any sort of venture like saving these things and transporting them up our way very cost prohibitive. I mean even to fill a semi truck with these old frames and bodies would probably come nearly to the price of what you'd sell the stuff for if you brought it back up northeast / midwest.

You're a lucky lad Avery!

You ever see that military blazer driving around?

Some neat finds there! My lil bro works at a shop that has over the years become a square body and gmt400 grave yard. I'll have to post up some pics from the next time I'm out there. Right now I'm eyeballing a k30 with a d60 front. It was a 6.2 truck, hoping it has 4.56s! :D

The Burb had a tailgate power window welded behind the back seat.

Custom!

...and this is why they don't let the idiots around here bring anything but hand tools into the yard.
