picked up a 60 today, the guy i bought it from is AWESOME! he owns a axle and gear shop south of salinas ca as well as a fab shop. He builds some sick stuff, from custom buggys to race cars. he has 6 used 60s to choose from, tons of cool stuff around there. it was like walking through a candy shop for a little kid. Found a 89 ford f-250 he just a cummins swap on, saw his personal 2009 dodge 2500 with all the goodies, his show trucks. its was a good day. tomorrow i will do some clean up on the axle.
Build plans

1. blasted and powder coated
2. New SRW hubs and rotors
3. Drive flanges (suggestions on brand?)
3. u-bolts and plates from WFO
4.WFO heavy duty steering arm and adjustable kingpin screws.
5. ARB front diff cover

if i have anything left over, a Eaton e-locker

anyone know where i can buy a srw hub and rotor assembly with the internals possibly with drive flanges?

good find! but unless ur dead set on getting an ARB diff cover. u could probably save some money by getting a DIY4X cover or a greatlakesoffroad cover. then u can put the money saved towards say good wheel bearings or something.just my opinion!

found them, looks like i need around 1k to get the hubs, rotors, and drive flanges. looking for stuff to sale

dont laugh! thats how much these damn things go for out here usually unless your lucky..

(i got my drw for $500. lol) a SRW in mediocre shape will fetch 1k everyday.

Yeah he got a DRW for $800, that is too much even for here in CA, $700 is on the high end, and you can find them as low as $400.
BUt then again, one can always try, I did sell some of my D60's for good money, and some for decent money, I never gave mine away.:D

yea but he was sayin new srw hubs into the equation...guessing it IS a drw 60

I saw the DRW part, but even that isnt terrible, atleast down here. maybe south bay isnt as good as sac but even the one DRW i was gonna get out of oroville was still $600. not a bad price, but not a great price. as long as its not in tooo bad of shape its still all right.

cheapest you can find in my area is $1100, yes DRW. sorry if that sounds stupid but thats what they go for around here. sold a SRW 60 last summer for $1500 first day i posted it.

another question: can i use my DRW brake calipers on a SRW rotors? or do i need to buy new ones

DRW and SRW rotors are the same other than the holes in the SRW rotors are a little bigger to fit the press in wheel stud, easy to drill them out. The calipers are the same for both.

Got my srw 60 for $500 and the guy threw in a gearless 14 bolt and a rear dana 60. Thats way to much for a drw 60. Now look at how much you need to spend to get it to work.

thanks for the help guys. i said he wants $800 per axle, i never said i paid $800. I gave him $700 for it. around here, thats a good price
