I finally found the Burb that I have been wanting for a while. We made it a family affair and took the 12 hr round trip to Oxford, MS. Me, the wife, and my two boys.

1991 V1500-this thing is in really good condition! It does need a bath. It has been repainted and cared for well. The interior is very clean with a new headliner and new dash. The 6hr drive home was great and made it on one tank of gas. (31gal-383 miles). Unfortunately, the rear end has the Gov-loc which sounds awful when turning and backing up under load. I will be putting a 14BFF/10b or D60 in it soon so I'm not really worried.

This will be my play/hunting/fishing/camping rig. I will not be cutting anything on this rig. It will be one that I will keep forever and want it to stay intact.

The good-
New paint
New battery
New alternator
New heater core
No rust
Clean interior
New headliner
New dash
Nice stereo system

The bad-
184,000 miles
Gov-loc
No 3rd row seat

Near future plans-
Axle swap 14BFF/10b or D60 4.56's
Shackle flip
3" TC ez-rides with ORD shackles
Wheels-either H2's,factory steel, or factory aluminum on a 33" MT (haven't decided)
Crossover steering/brace
ORD crossmember
Warn 8274
Rear bumper
Rear storage (need ideas)
Roof rack?

Here's my youngest. He couldn't hang the whole way.

Very nice:eek1: yeah keep that one nice.... not a lot left like that... Mine was,, till the rust monster touched it. then it went bad quick:doah:

Luckily living in the south we don't have to worry about rust too much. I was told this truck came from California
Originally. The PO only had it for about a year.

If you were anywhere close, you could have my rear seat. Definitely not going to use mine. It's actually taking up space I could use.

Nice find! barn doors and remote mirrors.

Yeah, I have mine out more often then not but can't bring myself to get rid of it! It sits in the shop for 50 out of 52 weeks of the year.

I tried to find a 3rd row seat locally, but not having any luck.

Cuervo- If you ever decide to get rid of yours, let me know:D

I just ordered a 3" TC Ez-ride lift from Sdtrucksprings.com. It comes with front springs and rear 3" block with ubolts. Couldn't pass it up for $324 shipped. I already have the shackle flip, but for now i will throw the blocks in until I can get time to do the flip and axle swap. I'm still trying to find a deal on some 8 lug wheels.

Stock steel wheels are usually dirt cheap, but you may not be in the hub cap crowd.

Sweet Suburban by the way.

Actually Martin, what you have in your avatar is what I like. I have a set of steelies that I'm using for rollers on my Jimmy now. If I could just find some dog dishes I would be set. Thought about having the wheels powder coated a grey to match the burb. Not sure how it would look though.
