I am rebuilding a 1986 FS Jimmy w/ a 14bolt rear. The guy building my moter has been putting me on the back burner for 6 weeks. He was going to build my 4 b-main; w/ 9.1 compression and dart heads for $2500 after 6 weeks he has not even started. So I said never mind I will buy it from Jegs. I already bought a performor intake and a Eldelbrock 600 cfm carb. I guess I can return it.
My question is what moter should i buy for the same money, that will work best.

I was looking at the vortec 350 but it seems that I have to order a lot of other stuff too.

Thanks a lot for any input
Jeff

why would you have to order more stuff for the Vortec engine? return your intake, and get the correct one. everything else should bolt right up. :dunno:

I am not really sure what vortec means; what makes it different. Does it work w/ carbs
