Sealed the deal today to bring home a 1991 Suburban V20, TBI 350, 4L80e/241 combo. I started thinking, what differences are there between the 91 and the 87-90’s? Mine doesn’t have the plastic mirrors, it has the regular mirrors. I’ve heard there’s differences between with the oil pressure sending units and the fuel pump cut off/fuel pump relay, just thought I’d ask the experts. Never had a 91 :D

Small subtle things like the 4l80 and electronic speedometer. Front axle is going to have 30 spline inner shafts rather than 28 like older trucks. Small interior design changes on some trims.

Dont know the exact year all these came out/started being used, but you've got the CS130 alternator, serpentine belt, power steering cooler most likely, combination oil pressure switch/sender (its not a cutoff), apparently hard to find exhaust manifolds... all I can think of not already mentioned.

Like I said, not all of those may be unique to the 90-91s, but close.

Similar question for a V10... I have a 90 Blazer and have a chance to pick up a 91 'burb... curious if there are any difference with the suspension. I have a set of axles I'm going to swap, but have a 6" custom ORD lift kit and might want to put it on the 'burb instead

Right, I meant the rears :D
He was saying the 90 blazer would have the 52" rear springs.
As for differences from 91:
91 is the only year for the 4l80e and the electric side mirrors I think.
89-91 have the same engine accessories, 30 spline shafts and front clip.
90 and 91 had the electronic speedometer and 6 digit odometer.

As others have said: 4L80e transmission is a big benefit to the '91 (not all '91s have this trany). Running the transmission is the 16147060 PCM
Crappy rear anti-lock brake system

Many Burbs came with 52 inch rear springs, the frames usually are drilled for both hanger positions.
