1/2 ton status
The trans blew up as I pulled out into the road for a test drive, and as a result I got the guy down to $1300. Not bad, and I have a trans that I can swap in. New fenders, rockers, quarters, and floor. So today I stripped my old gas Blazer and kept the goodies. I will probably turbo the 6.2, and retrofit a setup from a 6.5. What do I need to know? I know about the A/C clearance, but I heard that the 6.5 TD exhaust manifold will not clear the injectors. Is this true, and does anyone make a spacer if it is? How do I know how much to turn up the injection pump? What do I have to do to make the 6.5 charge pipe/hat onto the 6.2 manifold? Do I need to know anything else?
